Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my

JustGiving page.

Below is my story regarding how I came to run the 2017 London marathon, however while I was training for London I realised I wanted some other things to aim for after the marathon. So I signed up for the following,

20 mile pink ribbon walk that I completed in May.

15km rough runner obstacle run also in may.

100 mile ride London event on 30th July

Abingdon marathon in October.

I'm doing all these things to raise money for my late sister, and also exercise is my release and helps me cope with the lose of our beloved family member. I'd also hope that in turning a horrible time into something positive I can inspire others to do the same.

So this just happened, here's a little story, please bear with me,

Way back before I was a personal trainer, I was watching the London marathon one day when my sister Emma was over. Out of nowhere Emma said to me "you should do that one day" I laughed and replied "yeah right" a couple of years later, when I started getting fitter and told Em I wanted to be a personal trainer, she again said I should run a marathon one day.

Last year on October 15th after not getting in to the London marathon ballot. I booked a place in the Southampton marathon. True to form Emma was one of the first well wishers on Facebook. Tragically Emma suddenly passed away just over a week later.

At her wake I met all of her lovely friends and work colleagues, when I expressed a desire to help raise some money for home farm trust, the charity that Emma worked for I was told there may be some London marathon places remaining for 2017. A couple of days later I found all places were taken, until... Monday this week I received a call informing me some places had become available. So here I am all set to run the 2017 London marathon, raising money for the work place/charity that my amazing sister loved and always had immense pride in working for. If Emma were here now I know I'd have her full support but I would say to her thank you for suggesting this to me, thank you for always supporting me and above all this runs for you sis x

To all of you who have taken the time to read this I will be setting up my just giving page shortly. I hope this story has inspired you a bit to go after your own goals. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
